It is easy to use and small enough to go in a pocket. I have had this camera for a little more than a year. My niece got one after me and she loves hers. I took it to Disney World and got some amazing pictures. I am no pro but some of them would make great postcards. She travels to other countries a lot and also has amazing pictures. Highly recommend to anyone wanting easy.
This camera is positively awesome. Check the ratings on www.alatest.com where 24 pros and almost 700 typical end-users scored it a 90%, excellent, rating. Create 3-panel wide panoramic shots in-camera, "frame" and add text or make a calendar out of each photo.and you can add 4 seconds of sound to each shot.
7x optical zoom (vs, typical 3 or 5 from most cameras), two types of image stabilization, and, you can preview, on-screen, 4 different exposure settings for the same shot, and pick the one you like before shooting. I love this camera.and after seeing the results and the rich feature set.three of my friends have already purchased their own. Many pro-style features in a camera priced at an intermediate level.
Even with all these features.you can still set it on Auto.and your Mom, who's VCR is STILL flashing 12:00, can use it and take great shots.Giant lcd screen makes previews easy to see, even in less than stellar situations. There's in-camera editing, including cropping, retouching and other functions. There are more preset exposure settings than most people typically use.
I don't make many purchases without doing my homework.and this one stood out. Highly recommended.
All of my pictures were taken during day time. It was my backup camera to my 20x zoom. I took this camera on vacation to Costa Rica, zoom worked great. I had a little trouble with pictures in low light, but I didn;t really play with the features, so its probably just me. This one was great becasue I was able to put it in my pocket and go. I've blown up a couple pictures to 8x10 portraits and they look really good. Really like the small size of it and the zoom capabilities. well worth it.
I've had this camera for about 7 months now. I previously had an Olympus which took beautiful pictures. Occasionally, I'll get nice crisp, clear pictures, but most of the time they come out either blurry or grainy. I thought it was me, so I kept trying to change how I take pictures. Now, after reading the other reviews, I've realized it's not necessarily my fault that the pictures are coming out so bad. I believe I got buyer protection on this camera, and I will be taking it back.
The picture quality is grainy. I read other reviews that concurred.Oh, for a GOOD "waterproof" compact digital camera.I returned it Model Number: Stylus 1010 "I can not believe that I can not use the zoom while video function, when even with my very cheap old camera I could. I would need to get a extra video camera if I want to video my kid. I returned it. Overall I'm very disappointed with Olympus, the 3d model I return. It didn't help at all that after calling Olympus they told me it has a zoom while using video, so I re ordered this one. What a waste of my time.
